MHM India Summit 2024

Gramalaya takes immense pleasure in inviting all the participants from across the country to attend this exclusive event – The Third MHM India Summit 2023, which is scheduled to be held on 11th & 12th January 2023 in New Delhi, India. The conference will focus on an integrated approach which is the need of the hour to ignite the society at large about Menstrual Health and Hygiene management. We had successfully conducted the First ever MHM India Summit 2019 in New Delhi with over 180 delegates and the Second MHM Summit 2022 in Chennai with 250 delegates participating from all over India and from abroad, which resulted in more likeminded organizations joining in the MHM Campaign with a Networking concept and making MHM a people’s movement in the country.
Though the world is slowly moving towards removing the social stigma surrounding menstruation, the word ‘period’ still remains a taboo in most societies. In most countries, girls still avoid going to school when they are on their period. In India, 23 million girls drop out of school early annually when they start menstruating and many of them end up facing acute health problems. Women in rural areas or in poverty-ridden nations still use paper and other harmful materials such as dried leaves, ash and plastic as a substitute for sanitary pads. Globally, more than half of women are currently of reproductive age—and menstruation is a monthly reality. Yet all around the world, many women lack access to menstrual hygiene products or sanitation facilities, either due to limited availability or excessive cost. Making safe menstrual products available to over 300 million women in India and ensuring that they do use these will be a herculean task, and can only be achieved with due cooperation of all stakeholders and proper coordination between them to improve the status of menstrual hygiene in India.
The conference would comprise of proficient keynote presentations, panel discussions, case study presentations addressing the latest developments in menstrual hygiene and management, adopting the best practices from both traditional and modern sciences. The event will also facilitate one to one meetings for entrepreneurs and solution providers to exhibit their products providing insights into the importance and efficiency of integrative approaches.
The program agenda is designed for national and international sanitation & menstrual hygiene professionals and Medical professionals to facilitate the dissemination and implementation of new research findings related to menstrual hygiene and management. The conference invites delegates from leading NGO’s, Government representatives, Donor groups, Microfinance Institutions, Universities, Hospitals, Research centres, Clinical research institutions and Healthcare & Hygiene solution companies to share their expertise on all aspects of this ever expanding field and showcasing the latest techniques. The Conference invites nominations to apply for Awards for key influencer in the Menstrual Hygiene & Management and best practices.
